Requirements, for example in the form of technical drawings, contain specifications such as mea-sures or attributive characteristics which play an important role in manufacturing processes as well as initial sample inspection reports, FMEAs, in¬spections plans, goods received and dispatched inspections and complaints.
The iqs Quality Center manages all versions of requirements e.g. from inspection specifications, legal guidelines, packaging regulations, 2D drawings and accompanying 3D models so that the latest current documents are always linked to the part key data. As this is centrally managed it is possible to access the current documents, drawings and characteristic application from each iqs module.
The iqs Requirements Management (AM) imports the specifications from all common CAD formats and pdf files into the CAQ system. The centrally defined requirements are available in all modules and can be transferred and expanded as necessary needed for example when creating a FMEA for a characteristic.
Through supporting optical character recognition OCR, characteristics and their specifications can be transferred from scanned documents (.tif, .pdf).
All requirements are documented and clearly visualized – changes between different versions can be tracked. This permits a characteristic history to be generated – for each characteristic all processes and results can be displayed at the press of a button.
